Synopsis[edit]
Hana Yori Dango returns for a second season, picking up a year after Domyouji Tsukasa left for New York. Tsukushi follows Tsukasa to New York to confront him about his behavior and the reason behind his shocking decision to give her a red notice for the second time. There, she gets lost and becomes prey to thieves and bad men. Suddenly, a flashback takes us one month before Tsukushi left for New York. She mentions that F4 had graduated and during their ceremony they donated a lounge to the cafeteria called the F4 lounge so that they could revisit the school. Later on, Tsukushi mentions that she and Yuki are attending their junior high reunion. At the reunion, she meets Jun Pei, a student who is also attending Eitoku and is in the same grade as her! Back at school, she meets Jun Pei but is unable to recognize him as he is wearing glasses and looks very nerdy. She and Jun Pei quickly become friends and soon after she finds out that he is a model in disguise when he takes her to his work studio! He convinces her to take a photo with him telling her it won't be published but it ends up getting published anyway. Soon after, Tsukushi is given a red notice and finds out that Tsukasa had told one of the students to give it to her for old time's sake. She is then challenged by everyone and while she struggles to fight Jun Pei comes to her rescue. Later, when Tsukushi speaks with Rui he tells her she should go to New York but she refuses and when she goes home that evening she finds out that her dad had won a ticket to New York for 3 days. She takes the ticket and we are brought back to the present where she is prey to thieves. Suddenly Rui arrives and saves her in the nick of time and tells her that Soujiro and Akira will arrive after. Tsukushi finds Tsukasa and speaks with him and she realizes that since he left Japan, he has indeed changed. Upset with his cold attitude, Tsukushi returns to Japan while the F3 remained to ask Tsukasa if he was really behind the red notice but this surprised Tsukasa!
Upon returning to Japan, Tsukushi is tortured at school because of the red notice but once again Jun Pei comes to her rescue and in the process reveals his identity as Jun the famous model. Jun tells Tsukushi that he will protect her but when he leaves, he tells his men to take her away and soon Tsukushi finds out that Jun is using her to try to get to Tsukasa in order to get revenge for his friend who was beaten up severely by Tsukasa. During Jun's story Tsukushi manages to escape and is found by Tsukasa's sister Tsubaki who sends her men after Jun Pei. Later Tsukushi confesses to Tsubaki that she still loves Tsukasa but is unsure of what to do to get back with him since he's changed too much.
Later on, Tsukushi is invited to Tsukasa's birthday party by his mother Kaede. Tsukushi decides to make him a present similar to the one she gave him when he left for New York and dresses up in a fancy dress which Tsubaki had bought for her. During her son's birthday party Kaede announces Tsukasa's engagement to Ohkawahara Shigeru, the only daughter of a Japanese oil magnate. After Kaede makes her announcement she embarrasses Tsukushi by calling her up on stage to play the piano which she is unable to do. She congratulates Tsukasa and runs out followed by him. He confronts her about the engagement telling her that she should not have come since it was all part of Kaede's plans. Tsukushi says it doesn't matter since they are no longer in a relationship and before she can finish what she was saying Kaede arrives and agrees with what Tsukushi had said, followed by Shigeru who is shocked about the earlier events. Tsukasa then yells at his mother and tries to leave with Tsukushi but instead mistakenly grabs Shigeru's arm and leaves with her. To make things even more complicated, Shigeru falls in love with Tsukasa after their interactions out on the street. Tsukushi, in an effort to deal with the painful events regarding her past love, immerses herself in her studies to get into law school with the help of Rui. As they grow closer, Rui realizes his true feelings for her. During this time, Tsukushi finds out that her family is having money issues and she decides to take a second job in order to help her family with expenses but it is too much for her and she collapses during work. She is taken to the hospital and while Tsukasa is at a dinner with Shigeru and her family, Nishida informs him about Tsukushi being taken to the hospital and he rushes off to see her. Just before Tsukasa enters Tsukushi's room, he sees Rui and leaves confused about why he is there. Later, when Tsukushi wakes up she sees Rui, realizing that he had stayed the night and when he awakes he kisses her then leaves. When Tsukushi finally gets discharged from the hospital and goes home she finds out that her father was fired and left with her mother to go to a nearby village to become a fisherman in order to earn income. Tsukushi starts packing her belongings and is notified by Yuki that she knows someone in her tea class who might have a place for her and her brother to stay at. They start living in an old building and find out that Tsukasa is living next to them since he had purchased the building. Later on, Tsukushi and Tsukasa have a fight which results in him landing on top of her. Shigeru suddenly arrives, sees them and runs out of the building.
Tsukushi tries to run after her but Tsukasa stops her telling her 'not to go'. She then tells him to leave and he does so. Then Tsukushi's brother Susumu asks Tsukasa for help on how to confess to a girl he met when he took his entrance exam. Tsukasa agrees and gets the rest of F4 to help. Unfortunately when Susumu confesses to the girl he likes, she refuses and he is heart broken. Meanwhile, Tsukushi is out searching for Susumu since it is very late. Eventually she finds him with Tsukasa. She yells at Tsukasa telling him that he's causing problems in her life and suddenly he confesses to her saying that he wants to date her again. She runs off and back at home Susumu tells her that she should at least inform Rui about her and Tsukasa since he deserves to know. Tsukushi tries phoning Rui but hangs up because she was afraid and didn't know what to say, after hearing her hang up the phone Rui gets into his car and drives to her place. Soon after Nishida, the company secretary, finally reveals the real reason for Tsukasa's change of behavior which leaves Tsukushi confused. After her talk with Nishida, Tsukushi sees Rui waiting outside her house to talk to her. He eventually leaves and a little afterwards Tsukasa ends up in Tsukushi's room since Susumu wants to use his room to study and the two end up in a fight which results in huge damage to Tsukushi's room, adding humour to the episode. While Susumu goes to stay with her parents, she ends up staying at the Domyouji mansion and working as a maid thanks to Tsubaki's help. While at the mansion, she befriends Tama, an old housekeeper of the Domyouji clan. After realising that she's in between Tsukasa and Tsukushi, Shigeru eventually breaks off the engagement to Tsukasa. This results in his disinheritance and further worsens the crisis faced by the Domyouji World Finance Group. Later, Kaede Domyouji attempts to reconcile Ohkawahara's consideration of the marriage, but is rebuffed. While Tsukushi and Tsukasa go on a cafe date, his card is declined because of his mother. After exiting the pet store, they see Nishida, who reveals he was dismissed. In an effort to save him and the employees of the company, Makino unwillingly breaks up with Tsukasa and follows her family to a fishing village to start a new life. Tsukasa goes after her, however. There, he gets into an accident after saving Susumu, Makino's younger brother, and develops amnesia. Her attempts at helping him revive his memories are thwarted by Umi, a patient in the same hospital where Tsukasa had been admitted. In one occasion, Susumu advises Makino to make something for him to eat. The next day, while Tsukasa is still fast asleep, Makino pays him a visit and makes an effort to hypnotize him using the necklace he once gave to her. Umi drops by to exchange some of the flowers in his room. Next to Tsukasa laid a package within which were cookies shaped like Tsukasa's face. He reaches in to eat one of them and recalls that 'they taste like love.' He begins to question if 'Umi' was the person he can't remember. A hesitant Umi smiles and gives him a kiss. The next day Tsukushi visits his room once again, only to find the room vacant. Confused by this, she panics, but Rui reassures her that Tsukasa is probably home. As soon as she enters, she sees Umi in Tsukasa's room. While Umi makes tea, Tsukasa and Tsukushi argue. When Umi comes back, she privately speaks to Tsukushi and tells her to never come to the mansion again, saying that Tsukushi's presence upsets Tsukasa and that it would be harder for her to get him to remember his lost memory. Later on, Tsukushi sees Tsukasa and Umi talking about the cookies she had made for him and realizes that Umi had taken credit for what she had made. Upset, Tsukushi throws the Saturn pearl necklace at Tsukasa, saying she's had enough. She then decides to give up and tells Yuki and the F3 that she's at her limit and about how Umi lied about the cookies. F3 then, making an attempt so that Tsukasa can remember Tsukushi, goes to a skiing resort inviting Tsukasa, Tsukushi and Yuki with them. To the surprise of the F3 and Tsukushi, Tsukasa is accompanied by Umi. Umi is now acting as if she is Tsukasa's girlfriend and shows people that she's really close with him. Akira, surprised, asks Tsukasa about Umi's presence. Later in the evening, Tsukasa is in his room, confused as to why people want him to remember Tsukushi. Tsukasa, after eating some cookies that Umi had made for him, shouts at her telling her that she lied to him about making the other cookies. Umi admits that she lied to him about the cookies, then leaves the room after Tsukasa tells her he wants nothing more to do with her. Around the same time, Tsukushi is unable to find Yuki and asks Umi if she had seen her. Frustrated, Umi tells her that she's gone to the summit of the hill to retrieve something she lost but Yuki was just taking a dip in the hot springs. In an attempt to find Yuki, Tsukushi goes out into the blizzard to the summit where she believes Yuki is lost. Then F3 and Yuki realises that Umi lied to Tsukushi and now Tsukushi is in the blizzard. Overhearing the whole conversation, Tsukasa, despite still not remembering who Tsukushi is, runs after her into the blizzard in an attempt to save her.
After saving Makino from being frozen to death in the blizzard, Tsukushi asks him whether he remembers her or not. He replies that he still doesn't remember, but when he found out that Tsukushi could die, his body took over. Tsukasa finally remembers her as the 'first girl he has ever fallen in love with' after developing a fever, as the circumstances were similar to their disastrous first date in season 1. He then proposes to her after her prom, with their friends and the rest of the Eitoku students cheering them on. The series ends with Tsukushi and Tsukasa meeting up for their date at Ebisu Garden place, this time as an engaged couple.

Boys Over Flowers (Japanese: 花より男子Hepburn: Hana Yori Dango, lit. 'Dango [Preferred] over Flowers') is a Japanese shōjo manga series written and illustrated by Yoko Kamio. The story is set in Eitoku Academy, an elite school for children from rich families. It follows lead protagonist Tsukushi Makino, a student from a working-class family, and the members of Eitoku Academy's elite Flower Four, commonly known as the 'F4'.
Boys Over Flowers was serialized in Shueisha's bi-weekly Margaret magazine from October 1992 to September 2003, and was collected into 37 tankōbon volumes. It has been licensed by Viz Media for publication in the United States. It has also been adapted into official live-action television drama multiple-episode series in Taiwan (Meteor Garden, 2001), Japan (Hana Yori Dango, 2005 and 2007), South Korea (Boys Over Flowers, 2009), and China (Meteor Garden, as a Netflix Original in 2018). In addition, it was adapted into two live-action films (one as the stand-alone film, Hana Yori Dango, and the other, Hana Yori Dango Final, as a sequel to the television series), as well as the 1996-1997 animeBoys Over Flowers series in Japan.
Boys Over Flowers won the 41st Shogakukan Manga Award for shōjo manga.[3] It is also the best-selling shōjo manga of all time, having sold 61 million copies as of 2015.[4][5]
Kamio began a sequel, titled Boys Over Flowers Season 2, in Shueisha's Shōnen Jump+ online magazine on February 15, 2015.[6]

Plot[edit]
Eitoku Academy (英徳学園Eitoku Gakuen) is a prestigious school that caters to children from rich, high-society families. Hence, Tsukushi, who is one of the students that comes from a poor family, is considered by others to be the 'weed' of the school. The school is ruled by the 'Flower Four' group, more commonly known as the F4. The F4 leader, who is the son of the wealthiest, most powerful family in Japan, Tsukasa Domyouji, takes an interest in Tsukushi because she is the only girl at Eitoku who does not fawn over him. However, his hot-headed nature and bullying ways are originally a major turn-off for Tsukushi, who has her sights set on Rui Hanazawa.
The violinist Rui Hanazawa, Tsukasa's best friend, becomes Tsukushi's first serious romantic interest. He is a quiet and cool guy, but he has a soft spot for his close friend and Tsukushi's idol, the model Shizuka Todou, whom he harbored feelings for since childhood. His character is a bit complex, and always has changing feelings for Tsukushi, but above all cares about her a lot.
Feb 21, 2010 I think it works the same on all B6 chargers, the IMAX and all the clones that looks about the same. Some that do not have a usb port might use the 3 pin connector for serial data. Charger usb.
The other two members of the F4 are Akira Mimasaka, the laid-back peacemaker of the group, and Sojirou Nishikado, an unrepentant playboy. They both usually have at least one girlfriend at any one time; Akira prefers older women because the women of his household (his mother and two younger sisters) are quite childish. Sojirou is happy to be in casual relationships with many women, although we later discover that at one time he was in love with a childhood friend.
Over time, Tsukushi's feelings towards Tsukasa evolve, as she begins to appreciate the degree of change that occurred in Tsukasa once he fell in love with her. Tsukasa becomes fiercely loyal to Tsukushi, believes in her beyond all doubt, and slowly gets her to see him in a different light. However, because of the difference in their family background, Tsukushi and Tsukasa's relationship receives a lot of opposition from Tsukasa's mother, Kaede. Tsukasa's mother then tries all ways and means to break the pair up.
Characters[edit]
- Tsukushi Makino (牧野 つくしMakino Tsukushi)
- The protagonist, Tsukushi Makino is one of the very few students studying at Eitoku High School to come from a poor family. Although her family can barely afford to pay Tsukushi's school fees, her parents push her to continue at the school hoping she will seduce a rich man and take them out of poverty. Tsukushi is not thrilled about being stuck at Eitoku, and is determined to remain out of sight until graduation. However, after defending her friend who accidentally falls down a set of stairs and onto Tsukasa Domyouji, she, instead, receives a red card--a declaration of war from the F4. This officially marks her for future torment by the F4 and the rest of the student body.
- However, unlike most of the F4's targets, Tsukushi retaliates by directly attacking Tsukasa. This unexpected retaliation and steadfast resistance to the hazing is one that he has never encountered from a victim before, and sparks a nearly obsessive fixation with her within Tsukasa. Initially, Tsukushi hates all of the F4 with the personal exception of Rui Hanazawa, for whom she harbors romantic feelings. But, after Rui goes off to chase after his childhood sweetheart Shizuka, Tsukushi slowly falls in love with Tsukasa. In this process, she allows her fierce determination and her stubborn, hardworking ways show through, and in the end, turns the F4 into her close friends. In the end, Tsukushi and Tsukasa became a couple. It is hinted that they will get married when the time is right.
- Tsukasa Domyouji (道明寺 司Dōmyōji Tsukasa)
- The leader of the F4 group and the heir to the large Domyouji Enterprises, and his family is extremely wealthy and influential within Japan. Tsukasa spent much of his childhood with the rest of the F4 since his mother was always overseas, and his older sister had moved to Los Angeles after her marriage. His mother, in particular, is cold towards him, and wants to control his life for the sake of preserving the family name.
- As the extremely hot-blooded, hot-headed and volatile leader of the F4, Tsukasa uses his power to rule over the entire school. He uses an infamous red card and attaches it inside anyone's locker who has made the F4, particularly him, upset. A red card gives the entire student body at Eitoku free rein to bully, prank and humiliate the receiver until they decide to leave the school. However, Tsukushi's declaration of war against the F4, retaliation against the student body and strong will, after receiving the red card, begins to remind Tsukasa of his beloved older sister, Tsubaki. Consequently, Tsukasa grows increasingly fond of Tsukushi, falling madly in love with her. Unbeknownst to him, Tsukasa begins to constantly do things to attempt to impress Tsukushi, like unsuccessfully straightening his curly hair, and so on.
- Because Tsukasa is used to always getting his way, he is, initially, not very good at interacting with Tsukushi. He frequently makes fun of her family's poverty and responds angrily when she refuses to do as he says. He is also extremely possessive and protective of Tsukushi, and frequently loses his temper and gets extremely jealous when anyone tries to get close to her. As time passes, he slowly begins to mature and develops a greater understanding of how to interact positively with others, a consequence of his relationship with Tsukushi.
- Rui Hanazawa (花沢 類Hanazawa Rui)
- Rui is Tsukasa's best friend and Tsukushi's first romantic interest. He is generally quiet, distant, uninterested in people and is said to be autistic, but has a soft spot for his close friends and the model Shizuka Todou, for whom he has harbored feelings for since childhood. His character is a bit complex, and his feelings for Tsukushi are in a nearly constant state of flux varying from annoyance to love. Above all, he cares about her deeply.
- Rui likes to be left alone and hides in quiet, isolated places such as the emergency exit at the school and other spots (music room). While Tsukushi is being bullied by the F4, Rui does nothing to her and helps her with her problems after accidentally hearing her rant about the F4 on the emergency exit. After he comes back from France and witnessing Shizuka's marriage, Rui was very frustrated and slowly falls in love with Tsukushi. However, after learning that Tsukushi genuinely loves Tsukasa, Rui backs off. Tsukasa also befriends Rui again. After Tsukasa's engagement to Shigeru Ookawahara, Rui, mends his relationship with Shizuka and, once again, grows closer to Tsukushi, and encourages her to chase after Tsukasa and to not run from her feelings. He, the F4 and Shigeru eventually set up a plan to help them be together at the end.
- Sojirou Nishikado (西門 総二郎Nishikado Sōjirō)
- Sojirou is the biggest playboy of the F4 and is incredibly interested in traditional Japanese tea ceremonies (which is his family's business). For the most part, he and Akira usually work to keep the peace within the group and following Tsukasa.
- Akira Mimasaka (美作 あきらMimasaka Akira)
- Akira is arguably the kindest and most mature member of F4. His family is very powerful in the Japanese underground (in the manga they own a large trading company). He keeps his cool and rarely loses his temper, although when he does, even Domyouji has to run for the hills. Akira is also a 'madam killer'. His taste tends towards older women 10 years his senior, due to his childish young mother, who is only 38 years old. He has a pair of young twin sisters who annoy him due to their extreme affection for him. He is also the only F4 member who only uses cash.
- Yuuki Matsuoka (松岡 優紀Matsuoka Yūki)
- Yuuki is Tsukushi's best friend as well as a childhood friend. The two work together at a dango shop after school. Tsukushi and Yuuki also went to kindergarten, elementary school and junior high together. She cares a lot about Tsukushi's feelings and does not want anybody to hurt Tsukushi. Yuuki offers Tsukushi a lot of encouragement and advice about her situation with the F4. In the manga she, and Sojirou sleep together then part ways.
- Shizuka Todou (藤堂 静Tōdōu Shizuka)
- Shizuka is a rich heiress and a childhood friend of the F4. She and Rui particularly are very close; she was the first person who was able to get him to come out of his shell, and the two were inseparable for much of their childhood. She began a modeling career during her high school years, but shocks everyone at her twentieth birthday party by announcing that she plans to give up her career as a model as well as her position as the Todou heiress to move to Paris and become a human rights lawyer. She was very kind toward Tsukushi, as she sees her as Rui's romantic interest. Rui initially accompanies Shizuka to Paris at Tsukushi's request, but their relationship suffers as Shizuka spends more and more time at work. Towards the end of the manga series, Rui tell's Tsukishi that what happened between him and Shizuka is completely over and thats okay with him, they're on good terms and are still friends. Shizuka will later on marry an unnamed french lawyer with everyone in attendance with Rui congratulating her for getting married.
- Kazuya Aoike (青池 和也Aoike Kazuya)
- Kazuya is another one of Tsukushi's childhood friends. He enrolls at Eitoku after his family comes into money through some real-estate deals. The other students at Eitoku draw a sharp distinction between Kazuya's 'new money' and their 'old money'. The F4, in particular, mention this difference fairly often and consider him to be a nuisance as the story progresses and simply tolerate him because of Tsukushi's fondness for him. Tsukushi is both relieved to have a friend at Eitoku, and worried for Kazuya's safety if he continues to hang around her. She is particularly worried about Domyouji, who clearly considers Kazuya a romantic threat. This was shown when Tsukasa gave him a red card on the first day he went to Eitoku because of his close friendship with Tsukushi. Kazuya is fiercely loyal to and harbors romantic feelings for Tsukushi, but is also relatively clueless and not very quick to pick up on things.
- Makiko Endo (遠藤真紀子Endō Makiko)
- Makiko is one of Tsukushi's only friends at Eitoku in the beginning of the series. Tsukushi rescues her from inevitable torment after she collides with Domyouji on the stairs. Although she is forced to break off their friendship to prevent becoming a target of abuse, Makiko finds ways to help Tsukushi, sending her secret messages of encouragement or to warn her of impending danger. After Tsukushi become best friends with the F4, Makiko seems to stop being afraid of being seen near Tsukushi. She cares about Tsukushi's feelings, and helps her when she is in a bad condition.
- Sakurako Sanjo (三条 桜子Sanjō Sakurako)
- Sakurako was the object of torment of the children she went to school with because she was born 'ugly'. When she confessed her love to Domyouji, he traumatized her by making fun of her looks. She was Makiko's friend when they were still in Elementary school, but moved to Germany because of her family's business. Sakurako undergoes plastic surgery and returns to Eitoku, determined to use her new beauty to take her revenge on Domyouji by making him fall in love with her. She met Tsukushi when she asked for help at Shizuka's birthday party. She acts sweet and innocent, but lets her true colors show when she thinks no one is watching. When she hears of his growing attraction to Tsukushi, she conspires with her friend Thomas to destroy her. She has Thomas drug Tsukushi at a club and then distributes photos of the two of them in bed together around the school, causing the student body to turn on her for betraying Domyouji. When Tsukushi finds out that Sakurako is behind of this, Sakurako tells Tsukushi that she only used her in order to take revenge on Tsukasa and that she does not need any friends and says that ugly and average people like Tsukushi should not be near handsome men like those in the F4. When Domyouji eventually refuses Sakurako's advances and sees through her plans, Sakurako becomes remorseful. She is then bullied by the whole student body because of her plastic surgery, but Tsukushi defends her. Tsukushi then says that she still cannot forgive her. Sakurako also takes advantage of the situation to be near with Tsukasa when Tsukasa breaks up with Tsukushi because of her romance with Rui. But Tsukasa only pretends to be close with Sakurako to make Tsukushi jealous. At first, it is unknown whether Sakurako and Tsukushi can still be friends or not, because Sakurako becomes cruel when she is with Tsukasa. But, as the story progresses, Sakurako seems to be more friendly and sometimes defends Tsukushi from other people with malicious intent.
- Junpei Oribe (織部 順平Oribe Junpei)
- Junpei is a kohai of Tsukushi's that saves her from being bullied after she gets back from her trip to Canada. He first appears as a nerdy boy, with glasses and an oblivious attitude. He is actually a famous model for a well-known magazine, hiding his identity in school through his glasses. Tskushi sees him as the only other person at school who thinks the way she thinks after he says he only needs to endure two more years. Junpei's real motive is to lure Domyouji for revenge for injuring his older brother who is sent to the hospital after Tsukasa kicked him in the stomach so hard it caused a stomach rupture. He uses Tsukushi as bait to lure Tsukasa to him and his friend, who are looking for vengeance after being humiliated by Tsukasa. Both Domyouji and Tsukushi end up in the hospital after a hostage situation where Domyouji's ribs are broken. Junpei later apologizes to Tsukushi, having developed feelings for her, but she denies his apology (Tsukushi does acknowledge that she'll one day forgive him). He is left wondering if he'll ever get to laugh with her, again, like she does with the F4 after they tease her at the hospital.
- Shigeru Okawahara (大河原 滋Okawahara Shigeru)
- Shigeru is the princess of the Okawahara Corporation. She is extremely tomboyish, examples of this being when she bravely punches Tsukasa and when she bit his earlobe, but has a girly side. Shigeru befriends Tsukushi and often asks her to help her get Tsukasa, not realising that Tsukasa and Tsukushi has feelings for each other. Initially, Tsukushi is very angry with Shigeru because of her engagement with Tsukasa, but after seeing her innocent and kind side, she accepts and helps Shigeru, despite the fact that she still feels upset when seeing Tsukasa and Shigeru together. In the end, Shigeru realises that Tsukasa will never love her and so decides to get her two friends together. On the surface, Shigeru seems aggressive and boyish but she is actually quite feminine.
- Tsubaki Domyouji (道明寺 椿Dōmyōji Tsubaki)
- Tsubaki is Tsukasa's sister. She is four years older than Tsukasa. When she and Tsukasa were little, she cared for Tsukasa and tried to teach him to not act naughty because their parents were always overseas. When she was a student in Eitoku, she did some modelling in Paris, which made her an idol at Eitoku. After she graduated from Eitoku, she dated a man of common wealth, which led to her mother forcing them apart so that Tsubaki could marry a wealthier man. She is one of the few people who is not afraid to stand up to her brother, a trait that Tsukasa secretly admires in her. After struggling to date the man she loved, she finally gave up and married the wealthy heir to a hotel company and moved to Los Angeles with him. Although she has obtained a degree of happiness in her marriage, she often gets sad and travels home to Japan when her husband is busy overseas. She begs Tsukasa not to make the same mistake in love. She sees Tsukushi as a younger sister, and always helps with her relationship with Tsukasa. According to people near Tsukasa besides his mother, her character is similar to Tsukushi.
- Kaede Domyouji (道明寺 楓Dōmyōji Kaede)
- Kaede is Tsukasa's controlling mother. She is the chairwoman of Domyouji Enterprises. She is very clever and devious, and hatches many schemes to break apart her son and Tsukushi, whom she sees as an 'insect' that must be squashed for the sake of the family. She meets Tsukushi at Tsukasa's birthday party when Tsukasa is going to introduce Tsukushi to her. She saw Tsukushi as an obstacle for her son's future. At one point, she tried to pay Tsukushi 50 million yen to get her to agree not to see Tsukasa again. However, Tsukushi's mother refused the money and poured salt onto Kaede's head because Kaede had insulted Tsukushi. Kaede then tried to force Tsukasa to marry Shigeru. When she found out that Tsukasa was going to break up with Shigeru, she became furious and forced Tsukasa to marry Shigeru quickly. When Shigeru and Tsukasa 'marry,' she witnesses Shigeru's true plan to set Tsukasa and Tsukushi up and even tries to stop it at first. But after knowing that Tsukushi truly cares about Tsukasa and everyone else, she began to accept their relationship and marriage.
